Title: The Tina Project: Helping Schools Prevent Teen Dating Violence & Promote Healthy Relationships

Topic Description: HB 19 was passed in the Ohio legislature mandating a new law in 2010 to provide teen dating violence education (TDV) in schools to all seventh to twelfth graders. This training will explore:


• What is The Tina Project
• Ohio House Bill 19 requirements
• Importance of TDV education
• Social and legal definitions of TDV
• Types of abuse (including technology)
• Warning signs educators need to be aware of
• Intersection between TDV and rape
• How The Tina Project can assist you
