COLLINWOOD SET TO ANNOUNCE NEW GIRLS TRACK COACH

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s Interscholastic Athletics Office and Collinwood High School will announce their new Girls Track Coach at a press conference on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the school.

After 17 years of coaching, and nine State Girls Track Championship, retired Collinwood coach, Lou Slapnik, will hand the baton to his successor. The announcement will include Coach Slap welcoming his successor with members of the Girls track team present.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 p.m. and be held in the main office at Collinwood High School, 15210 St. Clair Avenue, 44110.

Senate Soccer Championship: Lincoln-West vs. Max Hayes

The 2010 Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s Senate Soccer Championship will take place on Monday, October 25, 2010 at the James Ford Rhodes Athletic Complex, 5100 Biddulph Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44144.

• Gates open at 3:30 p.m.

• The Senate Soccer Championship game will begin at 4:00 p.m.

• Free Admission to the Championship match.

• Parking is available at Rhodes High School.

• Senate teams participating in the Senate Soccer Championship are the Lincoln-West Wolverines with a Senate record of 6-0, and the Max Hayes Lakers with an overall league record of 6-0. This will be the first Senate League meeting of the two teams.
