1 Mathematics credits must include one unit of algebra II or the equivalent of algebra II.

2 Science credits must include 1 unit of physical sciences, 1 unit of life sciences, 1 unit of advance study in one or more of the falling sciences: chemistry, physics, or other physical science; advanced biology or other
life science; astronomy, physical geology, or other earth or space science.

3 Social Studies credits must include ˝ unit of American History and ˝ unit of American government.

4 Electives credits must include one or any combination of foreign language, fine arts, business, career-technical education, family and consumer sciences, technology, agriculture education, or English language arts, mathematics, science or social studies courses not otherwise required.

5 all students must receive instruction in economics and financial literacy during grade 9-12 and must complete at least two semesters of fine arts taken any time on grades 7-12. Students following a career-technical path way are exempted from the fine arts.

 

A minimum of 22.0 credits required to be eligible for graduation

Promotional Requirements
A student must complete the correct number of Carnegie credits in order to go to the next grade 
    To Grade 10 – 5 credits 
    To Grade 11 – 11 credits 
    To Grade 12 – 16 credits

A student must maintain the following GPA (Grade Point Average) 
GPA > = 2.5 (effective Jan. ’04)
> = Means equal or greater than

A student must take and pass all required Ohio tests to be eligible for graduation

Students must pass the Ohio Tenth Grade Graduation Exams in Reading, Writing, Math, Science and Citizenship.

A student may not receive an "F" in any core courses (English Language Arts (ELA), Math, Science and Social Studies)

A student may not have more than 5 unexcused absences per academic year


Eligibility Requirements for Extra Curricular Activities
Students in grades 9-12 must have received passing grades in a minimum of five one credit courses, or equivalent, in the immediately preceding grading period. A student must achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 in all classes. Failures are not permitted in any class on weekly eligibility cards or report cards.
