  • $6.4 million dollars spent in renovations, and warm, safe, dry projects
  • Current strategy calls for additional $5 million dollars in maintenance and renovations as needed from 2008 thru 2015.

 

Transformation Plan - January 2010

Depth of Intervention Recommendation:  Repurpose, Build 9th grade academy, with 2-3 upper innovative academies building over time, eg.  Advanced Placement academy.  Negotiated curriculum program.  Explore 3rd possible option.

Rationale:

  • Consistently underperforming academically.

  • Excess capacity at Collinwood can be better utilized if strong programs provide draw to the school.

  • Current capacity can support 1-2 academies, and can grow as enrollment grows.
