School Parent Organization (SPO)

The School Parent Organization (SPO) is the officially recognized parent group of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. The primary role for parents and guardians in each SPO is to support the academic achievement of all students within that particular school. The SPO encourages and supports parent involvement in a variety of ways including basic parenting skills, volunteering, leadership, helping students learn at home, school parent communications and collaborating with the community.

Every parent/custodial caregiver is a member of their respective school’s SPO by virtue of having a student at that particular school. Officers of the SPO are required to be parents or legal guardians of a student attending that particular school. There are no fees, membership dues or costs to members of the SPO. Call your local school office to participate in the SPO and support our children.
